Johann Friedrich Heuer Family

Johann Friedrich Heuer, the fourth child and third son of Johann Friedrich and Catharina Sophia Ruhnke Heuer, was born on 28 October 1842 in Borntin, Kreis Greifenberg, Pommern, Prussia (now Borzecin, Poland). This birth date was recorded in the Goerke Evangelical Lutheran Church serving Borntin, on the birth/baptismal record of Friedrich. He was baptized in the Goerke church on 6 November 1842. His sponsors were August Hanneman from Borntin, Friedrich Heuer
from Rutznow, and Jungfrau (young woman) Caroline Heuer from Borntin. It is unknown how the Friedrich Heuer from Rutznow was related but it is certain he was. Caroline Heuer – her full name was Maria Caroline Friederike – was Johann Friedrich’s aunt, the younger sister of his father, Johann Friedrich Heuer.

Johann Friedrich Heuer, Year 1864, Age 21, Private,Co. E. 14th Regiment of Wisconsin.  The State Historical Society Record reveals age 18 which is incorrect.  In researching not only dates were incorrect, but often the spelling of names as is pointed out in this document below.
