Neides

I guess this is one of those "you had to be there to understand" stories.

But imagine, three to four years of hard research work to nail down all the particulars of our Heuer origination that led us to Neides.  We were totally unimpressed with the crossroads called Neides, but were thrilled to find a sign that denoted the village existed...  This is where our ggggrandfather Martin Heuer had lived from 1707 -1771.

Neides is now called Niedysz.  I would have to say Niedysz is not a town, but rather a crossroad, there were just a few buildings, two 6-8 family apartment buildings which were, more than likely, remaining from a collective farm, two older two story homes and a couple of large farm storage buildings.  Somehow, I guess, we expected to find more, but still the same, we felt a great deal of reverence as we walked this ground.  There was a special feeling.

Most importantly, we found a couple of small structures that appeared to be old homes.  Very interesting.  I cover this in detail in the Research section of the website.
