While completing the research for our Heuer Family, a great deal of effort was taken to ensure accuracy and exactness of detail as we are publishing a book about our family.  To obtain the data for our ancestors who originated in Pommern, our expert "data generator" Trudy Heuer pored over hundreds and hundreds of films at the Family History Center in Winter Park Florida.

This is not an easy task, as each of these films is microfilm copy of the actual church records, written in German.  Some of the authors, the Pastors of these churches, had good handwriting, and others, well you be the judge. An actual copy of a record of Ernset Friedrich August Heuer's birth, September of 1818, compared to a second record for his brother,  Johann Friedrich Heuer born April 18, 1808.

We located literally hundreds of people in the Greifenberg Villages that carried the name of Heuer.  Rather than to dispose of those names, we made a point of cataloguing them so we could display them for anyone else that may want to find a Heuer relative that may have originated from this area.
